What if you experience stress?

A lot comes our way every day. How do you get money to live? Do I have to call my mom to avoid being upset because it has been so long since I heard her? Have I done enough? I was not allowed to forget something, and yet I have forgotten it. Should I meet up with friends tonight or finish that assignment first?

Our brain cannot tolerate unfinished business. Letting what you need to do wander around in your head creates stress.

How do you solve that? By writing everything down and occasionally looking back at what you wrote down. Do that for everything that passes in your mind. It will feel strange at first anyway, but it will eventually reassure you that all of your concerns are noted. Over time, your brain will also react differently and think, “Is this important enough to write down?” so that worries will disappear faster.

Don’t list your concerns too extensively and thematically:

As you become more independent, worries are added: money, laundry, food, study, and work. These are things that you don’t necessarily like, but they do require attention.

To give yourself the best chances to enjoy your life for as long as possible, your health requires your attention from time to time. For example, how do you determine what to eat? What is the trigger and what are you specifically paying…
