Failure is part of it.

Not everything will always go exactly the way you want it to. Not every man or woman hangs on your every word or faints every time they see you. Not everything you undertake will be a success.

If everything always works out, you can learn nothing more. Failure is experimenting so that you can evaluate and adjust afterwards.

How do you deal with failure and convert failure into growth and development?

Accept — Failure or the idea that you have failed is a tragic event. You respond in a number of steps. By going through these you achieve a perception that you can go back to:

1 Denial — You can’t believe this happened and think “this can’t be my life”, I didn’t deserve this.

2 Anger — Why Did This Happen to Me? This feels extremely unfair and unjust.

3 Negotiation — I’m afraid this will happen again, how can I make sure this never happens again and how do I ensure that the consequences are limited?

4 Acceptance — This didn’t go well, but I can do something else in the future. In the end I am still alive and I can tackle a number of things, place them and get started with what is still possible.

Accept your emotions, it is normal to feel what you feel. As long as you can then focus your perception on the possibilities, you do not…
